The following considerations may be taken in designing and
arriving cost:
- The design must be in conformity with NBC.
- Ceiling height must be 9’-6”.
- Roof shall be flat accessible for use of terrace.
- Separate WC+Bath can be attached or independent.
- Sand is proposed to be supplied at free cost. Transportation cost from 100 KMs may be considered. Lead for metal may be taken as 50 KMs.

INVITATION FOR MODEL DESIGNS
Government of Telangana is proposing to construct 2 Bed Room Houses of 560 Sq
Ft at a unit cost of Rs. 5.04 lakhs in Rural areas. Expression of interest is
called from Technology Providers/ Architects and Engineers to submit the
proposed design technology and estimate. Details can be seen in www.tshousing.cgg.gov.in
The Minister said
that proposals would be forwarded to the Chief Minister after holding final
round of meeting with the housing officials of all district. From this year, no
specific funds would be allocated for indiramma housing scheme launched by the
previous Congress Government in the undivided state. All the pending bills will
be cleared from the unused funds in the previous budget.
Telangana Housing Minister Indra Karan Reddy said that proposals were also prepared to construct 55000 houses under centrally sponsored Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) scheme at the cost of Rs 527 crore and another 18,672 houses with Rs 193crore under PM Awas Yojana scheme.

History of Housing Corporation Limited:
During 1977, a severe
cyclonic storm hit two coastal districts and several people became shelter
less. To rehabilitate such victims, during 1979 Government formulated the
Housing Corporation. It was decided to construct only pucca houses.
The Telangana State
Government Constructing 2 Lakhs Double Bedroom Houses with 14,664 Crores,1
Lakh Double Bedroom Houses are Constructing in GHMC area with 7,750 Crore in
this Budget Year 2016-17,Remaining 1 Lakh Double Bedroom Houses will Construct
in all Constituencies except GHMC Area with 6,914 Crore.
This One Lakh Double
Bedroom Houses 60,000 Houses will Provide for Villages in Constituencies,
Remaining 40,000 Houses will Provide for Poor Peoples in Urban Areas in

Government of Telangana is proposing to construct 2 BHK houses of 560 Sft
independent and G+2 (max) houses at a unit cost of Rs. 5.04 lakhs in Rural
areas. Innovative designs, using appropriate technologies are invited from
reputed- Enterprising Technology Providers/ Architects and Engineers.
Entries should reach the Chief Engineer, Telangana State Housing Corporation
Ltd., Urdugally, Himayathnagar, Hyderabad along with building plan, technology
and estimate by 15-03-2016 at 5.00 PM, either through e-mail to
ce@apshcl.gov.in or by post.
Shortlisted entries will be asked to make a presentation along with a physical
model. Selected designs will be paid a suitable remuneration.
A suggestive plan is enclosed for guidance. It is proposed to construct around
one lakh houses in Rural and Municipalities (other than GHMC) in 2016-17.Telangana

INITIATIVES IN HOUSING PROGRAMME :
1.Unit
Cost of Rural Permanent House (RPH) is enhanced to Rs. 45,000/- and Urban
Permanent House (UPH) to Rs. 55,000/- in May 2011.
2.For SC/STs, additional loan of Rs. 20,000/- in Rural and Rs. 30,000/- in Urban areas, over and above the unit cost is being given.
3.Additional loan of Rs. 15,000/- for Weaver Worksheds is being provided.Unit Cost of Rs. 98,000/- (Rs. 53,000 + Rs. 45,000) for Project Displaced Families (R&R). For SC/STs, additional Rs.20,000/- is being given.
4.Supply of cement at low price to all housing beneficiaries.
5.Electricity and Water Supply in layouts are being provided from the housing budget.
