Covishield has been developed by the OXFORD-ASTRAZENECA and it is manufacturing by Serum Institute of India(SII). COVAXIN has been developed by Bharath Biotech International Ltd in association with the Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) and the National Institute of Viralogy(NIV)
Both Vaccines COVISHIELD and COVAXIN are followed by a two-dose regimen. Both Vaccines are administered 28 days apart.
